NEWBORN
Newborn lifestyle sessions are all about celebrating your newest love in a way that feels natural and relaxed. These sessions can take place in the comfort of your home, at my studio in Pittsburgh, or outdoors during the warmer months. Instead of using a beanbag or heavy posing, I like to keep things simple—your baby will be snuggled up safe and warm in your arms while I capture the tiny details you never want to forget.
If you’re dreaming of an in-home session, all I ask is that you send me a quick video of the space you’d like to use. As long as there’s enough natural light, I’m happy to come to you and make the experience as comfortable as possible.
When you book, I’ll note your due date, and then once your little one arrives, you’ll let me know and we’ll schedule your session within the first ten days if that’s your preference. But there’s no pressure—it’s completely fine to wait until you’ve settled in and found your new rhythm. I’ve photographed newborns as early as a few days old and as late as six weeks, and every stage is beautiful in its own way.
These sessions are never rushed. Feeding breaks, diaper changes, and outfit swaps are all part of the flow. My goal is to create a calm, gentle space where you can soak in these fleeting moments while I document them for you to cherish forever.
Newborn lifestyle sessions can take place in home, at the studio, or if weather permitting outdoor. These sessions are all about celebrating your newest love. I like to use parents as my placeholder for posing the baby so instead of being on bean bag, baby is snuggled up nice, warm, and safe with you, all the while capturing all the little details you don’t want to ever forget.
Newborn sessions can take place outdoors during warm seasons, at the studio in Pittsburgh, or in the comfort of your home (light permitting). If you are hoping to do an in home session I typically just ask you to send me quick video of the space you would like to use, and as long as there is enough natural light, I am happy to come to you!
At the time of booking, I ask for your due date, then for you to notify me once little babe is here, then we meet within the first ten days of life (if you prefer). It is also totally ok to decide you want to wait till you feel settled in at home and adjusted to your new life. I have done newborns sessions as late as 6 weeks of life.
Newborn sessions have less of a time constraint and it is totally acceptable to take feeding breaks, diaper changes, and outfit changes as needed.
